Nothing represents Palm Beach like the legendary Leopard Lounge & Restaurant. One of Palm Beach’s best loved institutions, it epitomizes gilded age sophistication with a touch of colonial whimsy. Invoking images of the grand institutions of the early 20th century, the jet black lacquer of the walls is highlighted with golden fittings, leather banquettes and leopard skin print carpets. The bevelled mirrors and punkah fans add to the astonishingly atmospheric space that encapsulates the microcosm of Palm Beach.
Look to the ceiling and prepare yourself to be enraptured, as you trace the hand painted lines of the raucous scenes imagined by local artist Lino Mario. Lino, a Palm Beach personality and local celebrity, took on the task in the 1990s and asked for no more than a bar tab in return. His masterpiece took more than a year and a half to complete and is now firmly part of the Palm Beach scene. Regulars and first-time visitors alike are entranced by its suggestive motifs and exciting imagery.
The bill of fare matches the decor in its eclectic, exotic mix of classic American, English, Asian and International dishes. Prepared with imaginative skill and flawless technique by Executive Chef Gerard Coughlin, the menu is a perfect counterpart to the opulent ebony and gold setting of the Leopard Lounge & Restaurant. Guests can also enjoy al fresco dining in The Courtyard or by the pool.
A few of our favorites
With so many fabulous items on our menu, it’s hard to choose, but our lunchtime favorites include freshly caught fish, our famous Aberdeen Angus Beef Burgers served with the fresh topping of your choice and a wire basket of crispy fries, our inspired Leopard Club Sandwich with avocado and hard-boiled egg and our Maryland Style Lump Crab Cakes. Our founder, Bea Tollman is ever present and Bea’s Chicken Noodle Soup, a velvety smooth bowl of delicious goodness is a must try for a luxurious comfort food classic.
Our dinner menu is full of superb choices, but our signature dishes include our Veal Chop and our 14oz boneless New York Strip, both cooked to perfection in our 900 degree wood burning Josper Grill. Another extremely popular item is our delicious and delicate South African style chicken curry, prepared with our special mix of 10 exotic spices and served with fragrant jasmine rice, crispy poppadoms and tangy mango chutney.
