Whether you’re thinking of sunning yourself on the beach or taking in the local sights, stay with us at The Chesterfield Palm Beach and you’ll be perfectly positioned to make the most of summer in Florida. From beer festivals to patriotic bonanzas, there are some incredible events in Palm Beach over the next few months. Plus, Downtown West Palm Beach is playing host to Summer in Paradise from May to August this year (make sure to check out “The Pool” – the interactive art installation on the waterfront), with a whole raft of fun happenings landing in the local area.
A 3-Day Patriotic Weekend
The 3-Day Patriotic Weekend taking place along the Waterfront is the ultimate Independence Day celebration, and one of the top events in Palm Beach this summer. Kicking off the festivities on Friday 3rd July is BBQ, Brews & Blues in the Historic Northwest Neighbourhood. Expect live blues performances, craft beer tastings, and no shortage of traditional Southern soul food.
On Independence Day itself there will be three stages of live entertainment, with plenty of food and drink, a children’s craft area, glow in the dark mini-golf along the Intracoastal Waterway (naturally), and an impressive musical fireworks display over Lake Worth Lagoon.
From 3rd – 5th July 2015.
Summer Beer Fest
A celebration of all things hops, the annual Palm Beach Beer Fest showcases over 150 craft varieties of the beloved brew. Complete with live music and food trucks, as well as plenty of delicious local produce, this event is a hotly anticipated summer event for locals and visitors alike.
25th July 2015.
Northwood Mango and Music Festival
In celebration of their long history of cultivating mangoes, Palm Beach’s Northwood Village has dedicated an entire delicious festival to this wonderful fruit. And with live Reggae and Caribbean music, chef demonstrations, and a wealth of local arts and crafts to peruse and purchase at your leisure, there’s no better place to celebrate mango season in style.
From 26th – 27th June 2015.
Clematis by Night
A round-up of the best summer events in Palm Beach wouldn’t be complete without Clematis by Night. It has become something of a West Palm Beach institution in the two decades since its launch, and to mark its 20th anniversary this year, they are doubling the fun. Not only will there be weekly open-air concerts on the waterfront, but there will also be a battle of the bands competition taking place throughout the summer.
June – August 2015.
Roar and Pour at Palm Beach Zoo
On the second Saturday of every month this summer, Palm Beach Zoo will throw open its gates after hours to host Roar and Pour, an evening of entertainment in the grounds of the zoo. Roar and Pourers will get to enjoy live music, food, and tap-takeovers from local breweries in the Fountain Plaza, as well as full access to the zoo during the evening.
Second Saturday of every month, May – August 2015.
Screen on the Green
Bring a blanket and get comfy down on the Waterfront at this free movie event. With a mix of classic and new movies on offer on the second Friday of every month, Screen on the Green is a great option for family-friendly outings in Palm Beach.
