Culture by day and luxurious self indulgence by night – what could be better? Palm Beach boasts two brilliant museums, the Norton and the Flagler, while the Chesterfield is the perfect setting in which to unwind after a day of artistic and historical discovery.
The Norton is internationally known for its distinguished permanent collection featuring American Art, Chinese Art, Contemporary Art, European Art and Photography. The Flagler is a spectacular Gilded Age mansion built by larger-than-life industrialist Henry Flagler, described by the New York Times in 1902 as "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world."
The South Florida Science Museum provides curious minds of all ages with an entertaining and educational journey through science and technology. Located in West Palm Beach, the Museum features more than 50 hands-on exhibits, a digital planetarium, freshwater and saltwater aquariums, as well as natural history exhibitions. Each year the Museum welcomes more than 120,000 visitors and reaches more than 55,000 students through workshops at the Museum and outreach programs to local schools. Established in 1961, the Museum is a non-profit institution dedicated to exciting curiosity and furthering the understanding and appreciation of science and technology.
