Event: John Storrs: Machine-Age Modernist at the Norton Museum of Art
Date: October 2nd to January 11th 2011
The work of one American artist and sculptor is set to go on display in Palm Beach later this year in what will be the first exhibition of its kind for over 20 years.
John Storrs, who is widely recognised as one of country's foremost modernist painters, produced a wide range of artwork that is currently housed in various museums and galleries located around the country.
But a large proportion of his pieces are to be brought to the Norton Museum of Art, where they will go on display to the public in the Machine-Age Modernist exhibition from October 2nd to January 2nd 2011.
Guests who stay at luxury Palm Beach hotel the Chesterfield Palm Beach will be able to view sculptors such as 1927's Forms in Art, which is owned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, as well as The Abbot and Ceres, which date from 1920 and 1930 respectively.
And those who opt for the Hotel's Nights and the Museums package can see Storrs' work free-of-charge, as the package includes a pair of tickets to both the Norton and Flagler museums.
In addition, guests will receive a deluxe fruit plate on arrival, an English breakfast every morning and a romantic dinner on one night in the Leopard Room, which will be accompanied by live entertainment.
