Back in 1936, a group of prominent Palm Beach residents met to discuss the growing cultural needs of the community.

They sat down and pinpointed the areas which were most important to local people and how they could best be served.

Their answer was the Society of the Four Arts, which was established to provide and promote music, drama, literature and art.

More than 70 years later and this establishment remains the centre for all cultural activities in Palm Beach.

From November to April, the society presents speakers, concerts, films and more, which this year include the Florida Wetlands exhibition, the Art Basel Miami Beach Fair and the Fashioning Kimono - Art Deco and Modernism in Japan showcase, while visitors will also want to see the magnificent Philip Hulitar Sculpture Gardens.
