Miami Short Film Festival on in November

Guests of the Chesterfield Palm Beach may want to set aside a day for a visit to Miami for a cinema extravaganza, if staying at the luxury Florida hotel in mid November.

Just over an hour's drive away from the hotel is the Miami Short Film Festival (MsFF), which makes a return for its eighth annual edition running from November 13th to the 22nd.

Some of the best international short films of the past year will be screened at cinemas all over the city during the festival, which this year commemorates the roots of the genre.

MsFF founder and director William Vela said: "We are paying special attention to the short film as part of cinema's roots.

"At the same time we look at what is happening in the world around us by showcasing several films that scrutinise our relationship with the natural world."
