Give Peace a Chance at Old School Square

Event: Give Peace a Chance - John Lennon & Yoko Ono's Bed-In for Peace
Date: October 5th to 11th

From early October, the Old School Square Cultural Center will host the Florida debut of the Give Peace a Chance: John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Bed-in for
Peace exhibition.

The award-winning showcase will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the historic event, which saw Lennon and his wife Ono stage a peaceful but powerful protest against the Vietnam War.

Their fame saw the world's media focus on the pair and Life magazine photographer Gerry Deiter was given special access to the bed-in, which took place over eight days in Montreal.

However, his story and the images were never run by the publication and Deiter stored the negatives away for 35 years.

On September 11th, he decided to pull them out to reintroduce Lennon's and Ono's message to the world.

The images he captured will make up this fabulous exhibition, which will also include interviews, music and screenings of Give Peace a Song and Hard Day's Night.

This is a must-see for Beatles lovers staying at the luxury Florida hotel the Chesterfield Palm Beach, which is just half an hour away from the Cultural Center.

When the day draws to a close, visitors can return to the hotel and enjoy the delights of the Get More From Your Stay package.

Guests are given a choice from a bottle of chilled Champagne, a romantic turndown, traditional English afternoon tea for two, executive two-course lunch for two and a late checkout until 18:00 local time.
