Allianz Championship at the Boca Raton

Guests at the luxury Florida hotel the Chesterfield Palm Beach will have the opportunity to see some of the greatest names in golf from yesteryear at the Allianz Championship next month.

Returning for a third time, the event is the first in the PGA Champions Tour early season Florida tournaments and will seek to raise money for the Boca Raton Community Hospital.

This year's purse stands at $1.7 million (£1.2 million) and players including Isao Aoki, Sandy Lyle, Blaine McCallister, Robert Thompson and Lonnie Nielsen will put on a show of high-quality golf in pursuit of the prize.

More than 75,000 enthusiasts are expected to descend on Florida for the tournament, who will also take in the series of community-based pre-tournament challenges.

Other events taking place include the Boca Raton Community Hospital Golf Classic and two Pro-Am competitions before the three-round championship gets underway.
