Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show, Pensacola Naval Air Station

Aeroplane fans or just those who want a good day out can visit the Blue Angels Homecoming show, at a naval station in Florida.

The world-famous air display team will present a show to audiences on November 14th and 15th at the Pensacola Naval Air Station.

One of many events in the team's calendar this year, the show will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 local time and is free to all.

Children attending the event will be able to take part in the kids zone, where a Playstation 2, games and bungee jump are on offer.

Those attending the event can stay at the Chesterfield Palm Beach hotel and opt for the Palm Beach Getaway package, which is ideal for romantic couples.

According to their official website, the Blue Angels aim to serve as "positive role models and goodwill ambassadors" for the US navy and marines.

The team completed 66 shows at 35 sites in the 2007 season, with over 15 million people coming to watch.

Set up after World War 2, the troop was originally formed to keep the public's interest in aviation alive.
