Category: Art & Culture Dates: Thursday, 06 March 2014 to Saturday, 15 March 2014 When it comes to artistic talent, there's nowhere better in Florida than Palm Beach. At least, this is what the Festival of the Arts is trying to prove, with the event set to take over the area from March 6th. Taking place at the twin venues of Mizner Park Amphitheater and Mizner Park Cultural Center - both at Plaza Real in Boca Raton - the programme features the finest in classical music, jazz, art, film and literature. Attendees have ten days of excitement to choose from, with a whole host of spectacular art forms set to be celebrated. Must-see events to watch out for include the spectacular Cirque de Symphonie, which features aerial acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers and balancing acts, among other thrill-inducing performances. Classical musician Itzhak Perlman, who enjoys a celebrity status quite unlike any of his contemporaries, will also be in attendance, as will three-piece operatic tenor group Forte, who will close the concert. The festival itself was conceived in 2007 as a local cultural arts festival for the people of the Palm Beach counties, although internationally-acclaimed talent has helped to establish it as a premier event during the eight short years it has been going. Organisers consider it their mission to introduce as many people as possible to new music and artistic expression, and as such, 1,000 tickets are donated every year to students and teachers. Those interested in attending can purchase tickets via the website. After you're done taking in the artistic excellence, kick back and relax at The Chesterfield Palm Beach, where you can submerse yourself in extravagant luxury as part of the 3 Nights for the Price of 2 in a Suite package. This allows you to enjoy yourself that little bit longer in the best room available, giving yourself the holiday you deserve.
