January is known for its chilliness, so why not consider spending some of it in a place where the weather is more than just tolerable? Palm Beach in Florida has a whole host of exciting activities to keep you entertained at the start of the year, and you won't need to be shivering.

Base yourself at The Chesterfield Palm Beach, where you'll no doubt want to take advantage of the Sweethearts package if you're travelling as a couple, or the Vacation Together one if you're with family or friends. While you're there, be sure to try out some of these fun activities.

ArtPalmBeach

Those in the know will already be aware of the diversity and range of art found at the Palm Beach County Convention Centre on Okeechobee Boulevard. This event is no different - ArtPalmBeach is a premier extravaganza that shows off ceramics, photography, sculpture and canvas works, so there is something here to please absolutely everyone. Upscale restaurants, espresso bars and VIP tours also make this an art event to remember. The exhibition kicks off on January 23rd.

South Florida Fair

Definitely one that the kids will love, South Florida's annual fair is a highly traditional part of January. For more than 100 years, it has entertained adults and children with rides, exhibits, tastes, smells, sounds and excitement. A veritable smorgasborg for the senses indeed. The fair opens on January 17th and packs up on February 2nd, so make sure you don't miss this brilliant event during your time in Palm Beach.

FOTOfusion

Photographers and digital art lovers alike will be in attendance at this unique photography event, which has based its reputation around being much more than a normal exhibition. The four-day festival, which runs from January 14th until the 18th, will feature opportunities to socialise with and meet the artists. Amateurs and professionals are featured and you'll be able to learn more about the craft with hands-on seminars and computer lab tuition sessions. A unique event indeed.
