The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts will be hosting a live music performance by Steve Martin and his bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers on May 24th 2013.

Martin is primarily known for his hugely successful and influential comedy career, earning global recognition for his offbeat performances in films such as The Jerk, The Man With Two Brains, Roxanne and Parenthood.

Having utilised his banjo skills in his acclaimed early stand-up routines, he has since gone on to become an award-winning country songwriter and musical performer.

The star and his band will showcase their talents as they run through a programme of traditional and modern bluegrass songs, with the evening set to be enlivened further by a special appearance by Edie Brickell and Martin's own trademark wit.

Locals who are planning a stay at The Chesterfield Palm Beach Hotel to coincide with the show can receive a special discount by taking advantage of the Florida Resident deal, which also includes daily continental breakfasts for two at the luxury Florida hotel.
